Yes, I am back. The weather is lovely. I do have to say that Thomas (Kortbeek) told me the weather was pretty bad for a while. But at the moment it is sunny, warm and very nice.
At the 25th rudy, Jean Paul and me flew from Paris to London and from there to Johannesburg. After sleeping a night in the plane (not enough unfortunately) I was really tired. The same afternoon I went to the track to jog the flight out of my legs. The next night I slept very long.
I am happy to be back. I already saw a lot of familiar faces and I am happy to train on the grass again, although I will do a lot of my sessions on teh synthetics track this training camp.
On the 27th I had lunch with Thomas and Peter Wolters (and Rudy and JP) at Café Fiori. Unfortunately for Thomas he had to pack his back afterwards to fly back to Holland. Peter will stay till the end of April. He told me Marjolein (de Jong) and her coach Wil will arrive in the next few days.
We are staying at the Hockey Club (in teh apartments next to it, Astro Villa). We have a nice little apartment, with a living room, kitchen, bed room and bath room. JP has his own apartment.
On the 10th joe and Rudy’s brother Christophe will arrive. JP will leave on the 12th.
For now there is not much to tell. My first sessions went wel, but weren’t too hard. Now the specific work will start.
